Plague of Athens VR Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 21, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how History Adventures LLC ("we", "us") handles information when you use Plague of Athens VR (the "App"), available on the Meta Horizon Store. By using the App, you agree to the practices described below.

We built the App to collect as little information as possible. We do not ask you to create an account with us, and we do not sell your personal information.

Information we collect

  • Meta platform information. To verify that you own a valid copy of the App, the App uses Meta's Platform SDK, which may provide us with your Meta user ID and username. We use this only for the ownership check and in-app features, and we do not store it on our own servers.

  • In-app progress. Your progress and settings are saved locally on your headset so you can continue where you left off. This data stays on your device.

  • Technical and diagnostic data. If the App crashes or encounters an error, basic technical information (device model, OS version, App version, error logs) may be collected to help us fix problems. This data is not used to identify you.

We do not collect your real name, email address, payment details, precise location, voice recordings, or camera data. Purchases are handled entirely by Meta, and we never receive your payment information.

How we use information

We use the information above only to:

  • confirm that you have a valid license for the App;

  • save your progress and settings;

  • find and fix bugs and improve the App's stability and performance.

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any automated decision-making.

Sharing and third parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. The App runs on the Meta Horizon platform, and Meta processes data under its own Privacy Policy. We may share information only if required by law or to protect our legal rights.

Data retention

Progress and settings stay on your device until you delete the App or clear its data. Diagnostic data, if collected, is kept only as long as needed to fix the issue and then deleted.

Children's privacy

The App is an educational experience and follows Meta's age requirements for Horizon accounts. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the limited information we handle. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we keep the data we collect to a minimum to reduce risk.

Your rights and data deletion

You can ask us at any time to access or delete any information we hold about you. To request deletion, email us at spencerstriker@gmail.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request - Plague of Athens VR" and include your Meta username. We will confirm and complete your request within 30 days.

You can also remove all locally stored data by uninstalling the App from your headset. To manage data held by Meta, use your Meta account settings.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.
